Bellarmine University junior catcher Chris Gambert and senior pitcher Alex Phillips have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Went 12-for-17 (.706) at the plate with three home runs, two doubles, 11 runs batted in and seven runs scored
• Posted a slugging percentage of 1.353 on the week with 28 total bases, hitting safely in all four games while posting three multi-hit efforts
• Went 5-for-6 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs in win against Indianapolis
• Opened the Truman State series with a 2-for-4 effort with a double, RBI and run scored
• Came back to go 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored
• Concluded three-game series with a 4-for-4 effort, including a home run, three RBI and one run scored
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
