Northern Kentucky University’s Jack Ambrose (Lexington, Ky.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week.

He hit .462, drove in four runs and scored four times in the four contests over the weekend.

In NKU’s 3-2 win over Quincy on Saturday, Ambrose was 2-for-3 with a run scored. He was 1-for-3 with an RBI in the 3-2 extra-inning win in the nightcap.

On Sunday, Ambrose was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored in NKU’s 14-4 win and added a 1-for-4 effort with two runs scored in the team’s 9-6 loss on Sunday afternoon.

For the year, Ambrose is hitting .333 with six runs and 5 RBIs.

Northern Kentucky improved to 3-4 overall with the three wins and will travel to West Georgia for a four-game series this weekend.

Other top performers in GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Braxton Graven, Quincy’s Mike Hallam, Rockhurst’s Steve Braun and Southern Indiana’s Alex Thieroff.
