Lewis University sophomore distance runner Ashleigh Macleod and McKendree University junior long sprinter and jumper Tsitsi Mahachi have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

  • Placed sixth overall in the 400 meters with a time of 59.47 seconds, good for sixth in the GLVC this season
  • Returned 20 minutes later to win the 800 meters by more than five seconds in 2:13.41
  • Effort in the 800 leads the GLVC by more than three seconds and is 28th in NCAA Division II
  • First career GLVC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honor
