University of Indianapolis sophomore distance runner Lauren Bailey and Maryville University sophomore multi-event specialist Casey Berberich have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Friday. 

WOMEN’S OUTDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Team Competition:  No Team Scores, Dewey Allgood Invitational

 
  • Won the heptathlon with an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 4,797 points, which was also a school record and the leading mark in the GLVC
  • Followed by running a leg on the 4x100-meter relay team that finished in a school-record 49.50.
  • Then took on her ninth event with a win in the high jump with another NCAA provo mark of 5’6”
  • First career GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor in program history
