INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri S&T junior quarterback Brennan Simms and sophomore linebacker Stefan Camplin, as well as Truman State University sophomore punt returner Newell Spencer, have earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

- Led Miners with eight tackles, including two for a loss
- Returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to halt a Miles drive that had lasted more than six minutes at the time
- Currently leads the Miners with 22 tackles on the season
- Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
