Saint Joseph’s College’s Stephanie Madsen (Brookfield, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.

 

Madsen, a senior outfielder for the Pumas, helped Saint Joseph’s jump out to a 3-1 record in league play over the weekend.

 

She batted .400 on the weekend, while driving in two and scoring once. Madsen had a hand in each of the Pumas’ three wins.

 

In their doubleheader sweep of Missouri S&T on Saturday, Madsen was 3-for-6 with two RBIs. She notched the game-winning RBI in each of the two wins on the day.

 

Madsen was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in the Pumas’ split with Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday. She went 1-for-2 with a run scored in their 5-2 win in the opener.

 

Saint Joseph’s (10-6) is now 3-1 in league play and will travel to Grand Valley State, Lewis and UW-Parkside this week.
