Lewis University freshman Kayla Dench has been named the first-ever Great Lakes Valley Conference Athlete of the Week in women’s bowling, it was announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.

• Shot 825 in four traditional games for a 206 average to help Flyers to 10 wins, including three over ranked opponents
• Struck twice in the 10th to clinch match against No. 16 Saint Francis (PA) in tiebreak
• Marked all 15 frames in the match, including three doubles in the 10th frame
• Filled 31 of 33 frames with 29 strikes on Sunday
• Earns program’s first-ever Athlete of the Week honor
