Southwest Baptist University sophomore guard Quinn Nelson has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in a pair of GLVC road wins last week
• Finished the week shooting 50 percent from the field (11-of-22)
• Posted 20 points on 7-of-10 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from the perimeter, while adding three rebounds, two assist and a steal
• Hit two free throws at the end of the game to seal win against the Miners
• Scored 16 points against Maryville on four three-pointers and four free throws, while adding six assists, one rebound and one steal
• Earns first career Player of the Week Award
