Drury University senior utility player Jacob Mitchell and senior pitcher Tom Tewes have been respectively named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week of the 2020 baseball season, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Went 4-for-7 (.364) at the plate, totaling two runs, two stolen bases, and one run batted in
• Opened 2-for-3 in team’s second game of the year, and then followed with 2-for-4 effort with two runs scored in the series finale.
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
