University of Indianapolis’ Amy Schmitz is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Schmitz, a senior for the Greyhounds, tossed the hammer 55.07 meters at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at the University of Cincinnati to punch her ticket to the NCAA National Championship. Her toss ranks her second in the nation and first in the GLVC.
