University of Indianapolis’ Andrea Horban is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Horban, a senior for the Greyhounds, broke the Indiana Wesleyan stadium record this past weekend with a toss of 14.08 meters in the shot put. She also finished third behind teammate Amy Schmitz in the women’s hammer just missing the provisional qualifying standard with a 49.46 meter toss. She concluded the day long event with a seasonal best in the discus, 40.84m, to finish fourth overall.

Indianapolis will be competing at the Eastern Kentucky Open on Friday and the Dave Rankin Invitational on Saturday at Purdue.
