University of Southern Indiana’s Dustin Emerick is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

 

Screaming Eagles’ freshman, Dustin Emerick, finished his first 10,000-meter track race in 29:57.41. This puts him fourth in the nation and fourth on USI’s All-time list behind GLVC Hall of Fame members Elly Rono (28:53) and James Nolan (29:56) and five-time All-American Paul Jellema (29:17). He currently leads the GLVC in the 10,000 and 5,000 meter races.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Scott Tanis, Northern Kentucky’s Drew Harris, and Drury’s Geoff Hughes.
