University of Indianapolis’ Amanda Reese (Ft. Wayne, Ind.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. The senior forward helped the Greyhounds to a pair of wins against two region teams over the weekend.
In the Greyhounds’ 1-0 win over Saginaw Valley State on Friday, Reese scored the game-winning goal for the Hounds in the 15th minute.
Reese also provided the game-winning goal against Northern Michigan in UIndy’s 4-1 win on Sunday. In addition to her game-winning goal, she also collected an assist on the first goal of the match, Lauren Soza’s tally in the 17th minute.
She currently leads the Greyhounds with five goals and five points this season. The goal against Northern Michigan was the 29th of her career, breaking the record for career goals scored among active Greyhounds.
