INDIANAPOLIS –The University of Southern Indiana’s Michael Simcock(Greater Manchester, England) is the Great Lakes Valley Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Simcock helped the Screaming Eagles to a pair of wins over the weekend against the University of Indianapolis and Saint Joseph’s College. 

On Friday, in the 4-2 win over the Greyhounds, Simcock recorded two assists to help lead the Screaming Eagles to the victory. The loss was UIndy’s first in the league this season.

Simcock returned to action on Sunday to score two goals to help propel USI to a 4-1 win over Saint Joseph’s. He was assisted in the 11th minute by Simon Rawnsley and Jeff McClure and netted the game winning goal on a penalty kick in the second half.
 
USI 2-2 overall and 2-1 in GLVC play return to action next weekend when they travel to UW-Parkside and Lewis.
 
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Missouri S&T’s Nicolas Solano, Quincy’s Jack Wedemeier, Drury’s Ben Taylor, Missouri-St. Louis’ Tim Boruff, Northern Kentucky’s Andrew Montgomery, and Indianapolis’ Bobby Adkins.
