INDIANAPOLIS –Drury University’s Nicole Williams was named the GLVC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. On the weekend, she tallied four goals, one assist and nine points to help the Panther’s earn a pair of wins.
On Friday, Williams helped her team to an 8-0 win over the Prairie Stars, netting two goals. She also recorded an assist late in the second half on Mandy Little’s goal.
William’s returned Sunday scoring two more goals against Quincy. She netted the first on an assist from Sarah Goodman and Mandi Little. The second tally was unassisted in the 37th minute of play pushing the score to 3-0.
On the season, the Panther’s are 5-1 overall and remain undefeated (3-0) in conference play. Drury returns to action next weekend when they travel to Rockhurst and Missouri S&T.
Other top performer’s in the GLVC last week included Northern Kentucky’s Amanda Mason, Indianapolis’ Ashley Seehase, Quincy’s Jenna Boyko, Southern Indiana’s Susan Ellsperman, and Maryville’s Britta Orso.
