INDIANAPOLIS – University of Southern Indiana’s Brendan Devine is the Great Lakes Valley Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. The Screaming Eagles hosted the Southern Indiana Pre-National Invitational this past weekend where Devine helped his team to a second-place finish.
Devine paced the USI men’s team, finishing seventh out of 99 runners. He ran the 8K course in a time of 25:53, followed shortly by teammate Dustin Emerick with a time of 25:55.
The Screaming Eagles are currently ranked ninth in the USTFCCCA poll and second in the Midwest Regional poll.
USI returns to action next weekend when they compete in the Greater Louisville Classic.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included UW-Parkside’s Ben Orvold and Maryville’s TJ Matthews.
