INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky’s Drew Harris has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second week in a row. Harris paced his team once again this past weekend at the GLVC-MIAA Challenge in Rolla, Mo.

Harris ran the eight kilometer race in a time of 24:17, breaking the school record that he set just a week ago at the Greater Louisville Classic. In winning the race, he led his team to a seventh-place finish.

Harris has posted the second-fastest 8K time this season, behind Drury’s Jaime Villa Zapatero who has run the 8K in a time of 24:05.

Northern Kentucky returns to action on Friday at the Wilmington Fall Classic. The following weekend the Norse will compete in the GLVC Cross Country Championship, which will be hosted by Bellarmine University.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Derek Berry, Bellarmine’s Alex Jones and Southern Indiana’s Andrew Dixon.
