INDIANAPOLIS – Lewis University’s Kathryn Hague has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Runner of the Week. Hague helped the Flyers earn a sixth-place finish on Saturday at the Lucian Rosa Open hosted by UW-Parkside.
Hague earned a runner-up finish out of 176 runners, running the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:20. She has posted the second-fastest time in the GLVC in the 5K and 6K this season, second behind Southern Indiana’s Mary Ballinger in each distance.
The Flyers are taking the next two weeks off before returning to action on Oct. 24, competing in the GLVC Cross Country Championships, hosted by Bellarmine University.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Northern Kentucky’s Jerrica Maddox, Drury’s Stephanie Cowherd, Indianapolis’ Katherine Wilhelm, Bellarmine’s Carissa Martin and Southern Indiana’s Mary Ballinger.
