INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis’ Ashley Seehase, a senior from Indianapolis, is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. Seehase, a forward for the Greyhounds, led her team with three goals and two assists in two conference wins over the weekend.
On Friday, in UIndy’s 3-1 win over Missouri S&T, she recorded an assist on Natalie Dietal’s goal in the 62nd minute of play. She later scored the game-winning goal against the Miners in the 78th minute of play.
On Sunday, Seehase scored a pair of goals in the early going to help UIndy post a 5-1 win over Maryville. She posted the first goal of the match in the 12th minute and then added the game-winning goal in the 15th minute. She also recorded an assist on Shelby Spinelli’s goal in the 23rd minute.
In the two contests, Seehase had three goals and two assists for eight points on the week. She also recorded two game-winning goals and posted seven shots on goal.
On the year, Seehase has a team-high nine goals and also has three assists for a total of 21 points.
UIndy (14-4) secured the No. 4 seed for the GLVC Women’s Soccer Tournament after posting an 11-3 conference record. The Greyhounds will host the No. 5 seed UW-Parkside on Sunday in the quarterfinal round of the tournament.
