INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University’s Tristen Dye (Millersburg, Ohio/West Holmes) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The junior outside hitter averaged 4.6 kills per game for the Norse in three matches last week.
Dye collected 16 kills, four service aces and a .429 hitting percentage in Northern Kentucky’s 3-0 (30-21, 30-20, 30-28) win over No. 25 Findlay on Oct. 24.
She returned to post a double-double in Northern Kentucky’s 3-2 (16-30,30-28,27-30,30-26,15-2) victory over Drury University on Oct. 27. Dye had 21 kills, 18 digs and a .333 hitting percentage in the contest.
In the Norse’s 3-2 (30-25,30-24,27-30,28-30,17-15) loss to No. 17 Rockhurst on Oct. 28, Dye posted 23 kills, 14 digs, four service aces and a .365 hitting percentage.
For the week, she averaged 4.62 kills, 3.00 digs and 5.35 points per game while hitting at a .367 clip.
Dye is totaling 3.65 kills, 2.84 digs and 4.20 points per game on the year with a hitting percentage of .285.
Northern Kentucky is 19-12 overall and 10-6 in the GLVC. The Norse are the No. 5 seed for the GLVC Championship Tournament scheduled to begin on Nov. 2 at SIU Edwardsville.
