Lewis University’s Julie Jarrett (Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) is the GLVC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Jarrett, a sophomore for the Flyers, claimed first-place in the 800 meter run at the Dick Pond Invitational over the weekend. She currently ranks third in the country with a time of 2:16.07 and she earned her first NCAA provisional mark with the effort. Along with the 800 meters, she participated on the winning 4x400 relay team, recording a time of 4:13.18 and also finished second in the high jump.
Lewis will be traveling to Kenosha, Wisconsin this weekend to participate in the UW-Parkside Ranger Open on Friday.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Kelsey Love.
