Lewis University’s Ashley Butler (Pontiac, Ill. /Pontiac) is the GLVC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

  

Butler took first place in the long jump on Friday at the Ranger Open hosted by UW-Parkside. Her jump of 5.55 meters is a NCAA provisional qualifying mark and ranks Butler first in the GLVC and 14th in the nation. She also won the 55 meter dash and earned second in the 200 meter dash at the Ranger Open.

 

Lewis returns to action this weekend when they travel to Eastern Illinois to compete in the Illinois Intercollegiate.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Indianapolis’ Courtney Kuzmicz.
