Indianapolis’ Frederick Helm (Evansville, Ind./Evansville Central) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

 

Helm earned a NCAA D-II provisional qualifying mark in the 60-meter dash on Saturday at the Indiana Wesleyan Track & Field Invitational winning the event with the a GLVC-leading time of 6.87. He also contributed to the 4x400m relay team which won in a seasonal best time of 3:24.04.

 

UIndy returns to action this weekend at the Division II Challenge hosted by the University of Findlay.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC this week included Southern Indiana’s Dustin Emerick and Missouri S&T’s Brendan Smith.
