University of Southern Indiana senior forward Tyrone Bradshaw (Cincinnati, OH/Robert A. Taft) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Bradshaw helped the second-ranked Eagles remain undefeated on the year with league wins at Drury and at home against Indianapolis.
 
In Southern Indiana’s 83-72 win at Drury on Tuesday, Bradshaw scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He shot 72.7 percent from the field (8-11) and collected six of his seven boards on the offensive end. Bradshaw also added two blocked shots, a steal and an assist in the win.
 
He returned on Saturday to lead the Eagles to a 91-74 win over UIndy. In the victory, Bradshaw notched a double-double with a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds. He shot 75 percent from the field (9-12) with five of his 12 rebounds coming on offense.
 
On the week, Bradshaw averaged 19.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He also chipped in three blocked shots and finished the week shooting 73.9 percent from the field (17-23). Bradshaw now has a pair of double-doubles in his last three games.
 
He is averaging 13.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this season for the Eagles. Bradshaw is third in the league in field goal percentage (62.5) and ranks tenth in the GLVC in rebounding.
 
Southern Indiana (23-0) is 14-0 in GLVC play this season. The Eagles will look to remain unbeaten as they close out conference play against Kentucky Wesleyan, Northern Kentucky, Bellarmine and Quincy in the next eight days.
 
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Braydon Hobbs, Drury’s Dennon Mitchell, Kentucky Wesleyan’s Desmond Stephens, Maryville’s Kyle Winters, Rockhurst’s Aaron Morrissey and Saint Joseph’s Phillip Collins.
