Bellarmine University senior shortstop Patrick Brady (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Brady, a two-time All-GLVC First Team selection, hit .400 in a weekend series at North Georgia with seven RBIs, four runs, two home runs and a double. He finished the four games with a .750 slugging percentage.
In Friday’s opener, a 13-6 loss for Bellarmine, Brady was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIS.
He returned in Saturday’s first game of a doubleheader to go 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored.
In the nightcap, an 8-4 Bellarmine win, Brady was 3-for-5, including a two-run home run.
On the season, Brady is hitting .300 with 10 RBIs, two home runs, two doubles and two runs scored.
Bellarmine (2-5) will return to action against visiting Ashland this weekend.
Other top performers in GLVC last week included Drury’s Maury Wilmes and Northern Kentucky’s Jeff Bohlen.
