Lewis University’s James Knaperek (Hometown, Ill. /St. Laurence) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Knaperek, a senior for the Flyers, earned a NCAA Division II provisional time of 7.65 in the 55-meter hurdles at the Cardinal Classic on Saturday. He set a fieldhouse record and is currently ranked second in the GLVC and holds 15th position in the NCAA in the 55-meter hurdles.
Lewis returns to action this weekend at the GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by UW-Parkside.
Other top performers in the GLVC this week included Indianapolis’ Matt Royer and Michael Landy.
