University of Wisconsin-Parkside junior centerfielder Christine Holthus (Elgin, Ill./Burlington) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week. 

Holthus set the table for the Rangers’ offense in three victories last week. She finished the week hitting .500 with five runs and a double with a pair of stolen bases. That included a 2-for-4 effort in UW-Parkside’s 9-1 win over top-ranked Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday.
 
She was 1-for -4 with a double and run scored in the opener against Alabama-Huntsville, a 4-3 loss by the Rangers.
 
In the Rangers’ sweep at North Alabama on Sunday, Holthus was 5-for-8 with three runs scored and a double.
 
UW-Parkside (3-1) will next travel to the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Fla. on Mar. 11.
 
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Jamye Hefler, Maryville’s Ashley Reed, Missouri S&T’s Kristen Drage and Missouri-St. Louis’ Katie Bartlett.
