University of Indianapolis junior Kaleb Cunningham (Knaps Station, N.Y./Stockton) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Cunningham, a shortstop for the Greyhounds, guided his team to a 7-0 record last week. He hit .500 with 11 runs, nine RBIs, six stolen bases, four doubles, a triple and a home run in the contests.
In non-conference wins over Marian and Kentucky State early in the week, Cunningham was 7-for-12 with four RBIs and eight runs scored. He belted three doubles and had three stolen bases in the victories.
He capped the week by helping the Greyhounds to a four-game sweep over Kentucky Wesleyan. He was 7-for-16 in the wins with five RBIs, three runs scored and three stolen bases.
On the week, Cunningham led the team in batting average, slugging percentage (.821), doubles, RBIs and stolen bases.
He is hitting .346 with 21 runs, 15 RBIs, six doubles, three triples and a .538 slugging percentage on the season.
UIndy (14-7) is now 5-1 in the GLVC this year following the weekend sweep. The Greyhounds will face Maryville, Cedarville and Rockhurst this weekend.
