Drury University’s Tyler Wright (Springfield, Mo./Hillcrest) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

Wright, a catcher for the Panthers, helped his team to a 4-1 record last week. He hit .556 with eight RBIs, six runs, two doubles and two stolen bases.

In the two-game sweep over Rockhurst, he went 6-for-8 with six RBIs, four runs scored and a double.
 
Wright returned Saturday against Missouri S&T to go 2-for-5 in the opener of a four-game series.
 
He returned Sunday to help the Panthers earn two wins over the Miners. On the day, he went 2-for-5 with one RBI, two runs scored and a double.
 
On the year, Wright is batting .422 with 20 RBIs, 12 runs, three doubles and a triple.
 
The Panthers end their four-game series with S&T this afternoon and will travel back to Kansas City on Tuesday to finish their series with the Hawks. Drury will travel to Southern Indiana this weekend.
 

Other top performers in GLVC last week included Northern Kentucky’s Jeff Bohlen, Southern Indiana’s Dylan Mooney, Missouri S&T’s Zach Carter, Quincy’s Brett Zurliene, Rockhurst’s Ben Baker and Indianapolis’ Chase Kettinger.
