University of Southern Indiana senior pitcher Wandy Rosario (Boston, Mass.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Rosario was a factor in four of the Eagles’ six wins last week, helping USI extend its winning streak to a school record 15 games. He made four late appearances on the mound, picking up a save in each outing. Rosario posted a 1.35 earned run average and struck out 10 in 6 and two-thirds innings of work. He allowed just five hits and one run.
 
He threw three innings in USI’s 10-5 win over IU-Southeast on Tuesday, striking out five and allowing just three hits.
 
Rosario closed both games against Drury on Friday, tossing two innings in the first game and recording the final out in the second. He allowed just one run and one hit, while striking out three on the day.
 
He finished the week by recording four outs in USI’s 5-1 win on Saturday. He struck out two and allowed one hit in the contest.
 
In addition to his work on the mound, Rosario started each game at shortstop and batted .368 with five runs scored and three RBIs.
 
On the year, Rosario is 1-0 with six saves and has a 3.45 earned run average. He has struck out 19 in 15 and two-thirds innings of work.
 
USI (25-8) is 13-3 in GLVC play and sits atop the GLVC West Division standings. The Eagles will play Oakland City and Rockhurst this week.
