Drury sophomore Amber Hayden (Joplin, Mo./Webb City) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Hayden, who played shortstop and third base for the Panthers on the week, hit .667 with six runs, six RBIs, a double, triple and four stolen bases in four contests. She helped the Panthers to a 3-1 record, including a split with Southern Indiana on Friday.
 
In Wednesday’s doubleheader with Missouri Southern, Hayden was 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBIs and two stolen bases. She was 1-for-2 with two RBIs in the Panthers’ 6-3 game one win and returned in the nightcap to go 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBIs and a double.
 
Hayden was 4-for-7 in the split with USI on Friday. She excelled in Drury’s 12-0 win in the first game of the day, finishing 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBIs, a triple and two stolen bases.
 
On the year, Hayden is hitting .250 with 21 runs and 22 RBIs. She has posted five doubles, three home runs and two triples.
 
Drury (12-22) is 6-7 in league play and will face Southwest Baptist, Quincy and Rockhurst this week.
 
Other top performers in GLVC last week included Indianapolis’ Chrissy Stephens, Kentucky Wesleyan’s Suzy Gentili, Lewis’ Stephanie Harmon, Maryville’s Sarah Graham, Missouri-St. Louis’ Jacee Ellis, Northern Kentucky’s April Ehlers, Quincy’s Whitney Kroeger, Saint Joseph’s Brittnie Boerema and UW-Parkside’s Amy Horn.
