INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Jeff Fahnbulleh (Los Angeles, Calif.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The junior center delivered a double-double in the Panthers’ non-conference win over visiting SIU Edwardsville on Dec. 16.
In the 81-80 overtime victory, Fahnbulleh came off the bench to post 21 points and ten rebounds. He was 5-of-8 from the field and converted 11-of-13 free throw attempts in the contest. Fahnbulleh also chipped in two blocks and an assist in the game.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Panthers and pushed their overall record to 5-3 this season. Fahnbulleh is leading the league this year in scoring and rebounding as he is posting 19.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Steven Gum, UIndy’s Braxton Mills, Missouri-St. Louis’ Brett Ledbetter, Quincy’s Joel Box, Rockhurst’s Brent Thome, Southern Indiana’s Keith Christmas and UW-Parkside’s Brad Ferstenou.
