INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Rockhurst University’s Courtney Farmer (Bellevue, Neb./Bellevue West) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior center helped the Hawks equal last season’s win total with a home victory over Truman State on Dec. 16.
Farmer tallied 22 points on 10-of-19 (.526) shooting, including 16 points in the second half, to help Rockhurst to a 63-54 win over Truman State. She posted eight points in the first three minutes of the second half enabling the Hawks to build on their two-point halftime lead.
Along with the scoring output, Farmer added five rebounds, four assists two blocks and one assist. She is now averaging 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game on the season.
Rockhurst improved to 4-5 overall on the year with the win and will return to action at home against Spring Hill on Dec. 30.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Greta Wiersch, Kentucky Wesleyan’s Laura McClintic, Quincy’s Janette Burgin and Southern Indiana’s Jasmine Baines.
