Saint Joseph’s College sophomore Eric Meyerchick (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Meyerchick helped the Pumas split a doubleheader with Southern Indiana on Saturday by tossing eight solid innings in a 7-3 victory.
In the win, Meyerchick scattered six hits and allowed three earned runs to the 16th-ranked Eagles. He posted 12 strikeouts in the victory.
On the year, Meyerchick is 6-4 with a 5.40 earned run average. He has posted 39 strikeouts in a team-high 45 innings of work.
Saint Joseph’s (26-19) is 13-11 in league play and in fourth place in the East Division. The Pumas will face Urbana, Quincy and Lewis this week.
