Quincy University sophomore shortstop Whitney Kroeger (Palmyra, Ill./Palmyra) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week. 

Kroeger hit .500 (11-for-22) for the Lady Hawks as her team went 7-0 overall and 3-0 against league opponents. She posted 14 RBIs, eight runs, three home runs and finished the week with a .955 slugging percentage.
 
In a sweep over Lincoln on Tuesday, Kroeger was 4-for-9 with three RBIs. She returned in the second game of a doubleheader with Truman State on Wednesday to go 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and six RBIs.
 
In Saturday’s 2-0 win over Southern Indiana, Kroeger was 2-for-3 and she finished the weekend by going 3-for-5 with five RBIs, a home run and three runs against Kentucky Wesleyan.
 
Kroeger is hitting .350 with 29 RBIs, 34 runs, 10 home runs and five doubles this season. She owns a .594 slugging percentage and has also swiped eight bases this year.
 
Quincy (34-10) is currently in first place in the GLVC with a 19-4 conference record. The Lady Hawks will conclude the regular season with games at Northern Kentucky and Indianapolis this weekend.
 
Other top performers in GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Megan Murdoch, Drury’s Jessica Matlock, Illinois-Springfield’s Brittany Morgan, Indianapolis’ Jamie Keltz, Lewis’ Stephanie Harmon, Missouri-St. Louis’ Meaghan Bauer and Southern Indiana’s Reva LeDue-Bourgasser.
