Bellarmine University’s Meghan Shagena (Cincinnati, OH.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Shagena, a sophmore, helped lead the Knights to a first-place finish out of 12 teams at the Gibson Family Invitational this past Saturday.

Shagena finished the 6k course with a time of 23:44.  She finished the course in fourth place overall.  Four other runners for the Knights finished in the top 10.  Shagena helped the Knights finish with a team score of 22, a good distance ahead of second-place Berry. 

Bellarmine will return to action Oct. 16 hosting the Parkside Invite.
