University of Indianapolis senior setter Cheneta Morrison (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Morrison led the Greyhounds to an undefeated record at the Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament over the weekend.

The Greyhounds collected key regional victories over Northwood, Tiffin and No. 13 Northern Michigan at the event with Morrison earning a spot on the all-tournament team for her efforts.
In the three matches, Morrison averaged 8.33 assists, 1.58 kills and 2.42 digs per set. She posted a .295 hitting percentage and also had three service aces and five blocks.  
In UIndy’s five-set comeback victory over Northwood on Friday, Morrison nearly posted a triple-double with 26 assists, nine kills and 12 digs. She also had four blocks in the match and finished with a .316 hitting percentage.
The Greyhounds finished Friday with a four-set win over Tiffin. Morrison tallied 39 assists, six kills, eight digs and a block while posting a .455 hitting percentage.
Morrison had 35 assists, nine digs, four kills and two service aces in the Greyhounds’ sweep over previously unbeaten Northern Michigan on Saturday.
On the season, Morrison is averaging 8.52 assists, 1.80 kills, 2.57 digs, 0.29 blocks and 0.24 service aces per set.
The 20th-ranked Greyhounds (17-6) have won eight straight matches and are 6-2 in the GLVC this season. UIndy will next travel to Northern Kentucky and Bellarmine this weekend.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Kaitlan Harris, Lewis’ Jen Krumwiede, Missouri-St. Louis’ Kelsie Rankin, Quincy’s Briann Joslin, Rockhurst’s Maggie McGovern and Southern Indiana’s Danielle LaGrange.
