Missouri S&T’s David Huskisson (Kirksville, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. The sophomore led the Minersto a 19th-place finish out of 50 teams at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival this past Saturday.
Huskisson led the way for the Miners finishing the 10K race with a time of 31:25.42. He finished 83rd overall out of 470 runners. Missouri S&T, currently ranked sixth, placed fifth among Division II schools entered in the race. The Miners finished one spot in front of Tulsa and six ahead of LSU.
The Miners will compete again Nov. 6 at the GLVC Championship.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Steven Busch, UIndy’s Samuel Bird, Northern Kentucky’s Joey Mueller, Southern Indiana’s Dustin Emerick and UW-Parkside’s Ben Orvold.
