Lewis University’s Kathryn Hague (Chicago, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Hague, a senior, helped lead the Flyers to a fourth-place finish out of 7 teams at the Illini Open this past Friday.
Hague was the Illini Open Champion on the 5k course. She finished with a time of 17:36, which was a career-best time for Hague. She helped the Flyers finish with a team score of 116. The Flyers finished behind third-place Northern Kentucky, who finished with 102 points. Northwestern and Illinois tied for the team title with 35 points.
Lewis will be in action again on Nov. 6 at the GLVC Championship, which is being hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Lindsay Boyce, Quincy’s Jaclyn Barnhouse and UW-Parkside’s Heidi Ertl.
