Missouri S&T sophomore forward Hailee Parks (Sullivan, Mo./Sullivan) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Parks paced the Lady Miners in three GLVC road wins last week, including the game-winning points in S&T’s 74-70 win at Southern Indiana on Saturday.
Parks opened the week with her second consecutive double-double in S&T’s 52-51 win at Rockhurst on Tuesday. She scored 14 points and claimed 10 rebounds to go with an assist and steal in the victory.
In Thursday’s 71-66 win at Kentucky Wesleyan, Parks netted a career-high 20 points and added seven rebounds and an assist. She was 8-of-16 from the field, matching a career-high with eight field goals made.
Parks finished the week by posting 14 points in S&T’s 74-70 win at Southern Indiana. She was 5-of-8 from the field and chipped in five rebounds and two assists.
On the week, Parks averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. She shot 52.8 percent from the field, 56.3 percent from the free throw line and also had four assists and a steal.
Parks is averaging 9.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season, while upping her output to 13.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in league contests.
S&T (12-2) extended its’ winning streak to a school-record 10 games with the wins last week and moved to 6-0 in GLVC competition. The Miners will next visit Indianapolis on Thursday and host Drury on Saturday.
