INDIANAPOLIS –Matt Royer is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Royer, a senior, led the way for the Greyhounds in the weight throw at the Little Giant Invitational at Wabash College this past weekend. He improved upon his NCAA qualifying mark with a toss of 18.84 meters. Royer followed up his effort with a second-place finish in the men’s shot put with a toss of 15.35 meters. Royer is first among GLVC competitors in the weight, and second in the shot put this season.  

 

The Greyhounds will travel on Saturday to compete at the IWU Track and Field Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan.
