Bellarmine University senior guard Jeremy Kendle (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Kendle paced the second-ranked Knights to road wins at Missouri S&T and Maryville last week.

In Friday’s 76-56 win at Maryville, Kendle scored 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting. He also chipped in two assists, two rebounds and two steals in the victory. Kendle converted 1-of-2 three-point attempts and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

On Sunday, Kendle just missed a double-double in Bellarmine’s 87-73 win at Missouri S&T. He tallied 17 points and nine rebounds in the victory while shooting 6-of-10 from the field. Kendle pulled down four rebounds and added an assist. He was 2-of-3 from the three-point line and 3-of-5 from the free throw line.

For the week, Kendle averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 54.5 percent from the field, 72.7 percent from the free throw line and 60 percent from the three-point line.

Kendle is averaging a team-best 18.0 points per game this season. He is also posting 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for the Knights.

Bellarmine (21-1) has won 13 straight games and is leading the GLVC East Division with a perfect 14-0 league mark. The Knights will return to action at Northern Kentucky on Thursday and will host Southern Indiana on Saturday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Indianapolis’ Adrian Moss, Lewis’ Dennis Thomas, Jr., Maryville’s Mike Ford, Missouri S&T’s Bryce Foster, Quincy’s Josh Edmonds and Southern Indiana’s C.J. Trotter.
