Drury University senior shortstop Andi Anti (Holtville, Calif./Holtville) has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.
Anti batted .688 in six contests for the Panthers last week. She helped them to a 3-3 mark by going 11-of-16 at the plate with eight runs, four RBIs, three home runs, three doubles and a slugging percentage of 1.438.
In Drury’s split with Northeastern State on Wednesday, Anti was 4-for-7 with three runs, two RBIs and a home run. She was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in the nightcap.
In Saturday’s split with Bellarmine, Anti was 4-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored. She was 3-for-3 in the Panthers’ 6-3 win.
She capped the week with a 3-for-5 performance in two games versus Kentucky Wesleyan. Anti was 2-for-2 in Drury’s 10-5 win with two home runs, three runs scored and two RBIs.
On the season, Anti is hitting .446 with 22 runs scored, 16 RBIs, five home runs and seven doubles. She owns a .785 slugging percentage and a .578 on-base percentage.
Drury (10-14) is 2-2 in league play placing the Panthers in a six-way tie for third place. The Panthers will next visit Northern Kentucky and Indianapolis this weekend.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Illinois-Springfield’s Tina Buck, Northern Kentucky’s Jessica Farris, Rockhurst’s Leslie Furdek and Southern Indiana’s Stephanie Bitner.
