Saint Joseph’s College sophomore outfielder Angelo Burrage (Chicago, Ill./Illinois State) are the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

Burrage helped guide the Pumas to an undefeated week (5-0-1) as he batted .455 with a .538 batting average in six games. He posted seven runs scored, scoring in each of the contests and added seven RBIs, two doubles and a home run.

In Wednesday’s doubleheader with Findlay, Burrage was 5-for-7 with two runs and five RBIs as the Pumas won the opener, 8-5, and tied the Oilers in the nightcap, 9-9.

Burrage returned on Saturday to go 3-for-8 in the doubleheader sweep of Quincy. He had three runs scored and a double in the two games.

He capped the week by posting two runs, two RBIs and a double in the Pumas sweep at Illinois-Springfield on Sunday.

On the season, Burrage is leading the team with a .412 batting average. He has 18 RBIs, 17 runs, five doubles and a home run.

Saint Joseph’s (14-7-1) is in third place in the GLVC East Division standings with a 7-1 record. The Pumas will open divisional play at UW-Parkside this weekend.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Courtney Spitz, Indianapolis’ Chris Saroff, Missouri S&T’s Drew Davenport and Rockhurst’s Brandon Tangney.
