INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.Drury University’s Collins Harris (Jefferson City, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The junior forward led the Panthers to key conference wins over Northern Kentucky and Bellarmine last week.
 
In Drury’s 78-69 win over Northern Kentucky on Feb. 1, Harris posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He was 6-of-15 (.400) from the field and added an assist in the win.
 
Harris returned in the Panthers’ 81-57 win over Bellarmine on Feb. 3 to net a game-high 28 points on 10-of-17 (.588) shooting. He was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line and collected six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the victory.
 
For the week, Harris averaged 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists per game. He is leading the Panthers in scoring this season with 17.8 points per game. Harris is adding a team-best 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots per game.
 
Drury has won three of its last four game and is 14-7 overall. The Panthers are tied for third in the GLVC West Division at 7-6. 
 
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Kentucky Wesleyan’s Jeff Fahnbulleh, Missouri-Rolla’s Yamani Ball, Quincy’s Andre Muse, Rockhurst’s Joey Deas and Southern Indiana’s Rashard Sullivan.
