Northern Kentucky’s Brendan Chwalek (Louisville, KY / Silver Creek) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Chwalek, a sophomore, helped lead the Norse to a fourth-place finish at the Mt. St. Joseph’s Lions Invitational this past weekend. He competed in the 3000 Steeplechase, and finished with a time of 9:37.25.  Chwalek won the event, and finished in over a minute ahead of the runner-up.
