University of Wisconsin-Parkside junior pitcher Ryan Windt (Tinley Park, Ill./Richards) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Windt paced the Rangers in a doubleheader sweep of host Indianapolis on Saturday helping UW-Parkside split the weekend series.
In the series opener, Windt recorded a complete-game shutout as the Rangers defeated UIndy, 12-0. In seven innings on the mound, Windt scattered six hits and struck out four. He limited Greyhound batters to a .214 average on the afternoon.
On the season, Windt is 3-2 with a 3.79 earned run average. He has recorded 31 strikeouts in 35 and two-third innings pitched and allowed just 15 earned runs in his eight appearances.
UW-Parkside (8-17) moved to 7-9 in the GLVC with the weekend split. The Rangers will travel to Edgewood on Wednesday before hosting Kentucky Wesleyan for four games this weekend.
