INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Lewis University’s Terran Wertz (Williamsburg, Iowa) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Female Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week. The junior runner helped the Flyers set a new school record in the Distance Medley Relay at the Indiana University Relays on Feb. 3.
Wertz ran the anchor leg of the Flyers’ Distance Medley Relay team which claimed third place in the event in a time of 12:22.32.
She placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.85. Her mark eclipsed the NCAA Provisional Mark and ranks third on the GLVC Indoor performance list.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Stephanie Clouser, Indianapolis’ Karen Bower, SIU Edwardsville’s Juliet Alrich and Southern Indiana’s Allison Shafer.
