University of Indianapolis’ Jerel Flournoy (Gary, Ind. / Wallace) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Flournoy, a junior, helped lead the Greyhounds to a first-place finish at the Indiana Intercollegiates this past weekend. In the 400m dash, he finished with a time of 47.13. In the 200m, Flournoy finished in 21.31. He then followed up his performance finishing the 4x400m relay in 3:12.12. All of Flournoy’s event times were NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks. He was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Meet and is first among all GLVC competitors in these events.
Indianapolis will compete again on April 15th at the Dave Rankin Invitational.
