University of Southern Indiana’s Dustin Emerick (Elmwood, Ill. / Elmwood) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 

Emerick, a junior, competed in the 10,000m at the Mt. SAC Relays this past weekend. He finished in fifth-place overall, finishing with a time of 28:41.62. His time ranks #13 on the 2011 world list and eclipses GLVC Hall of Fame member Elly Rono’s school record of 28:53. Emerick leads the NCAA Division II national list. 

Southern Indiana will compete again on April 23rd at the Pacesetter Invitational.
